I participated in a three-day craft tourism program and visited Hasami Town on the last day. It was my first time to visit Hasami Town and I thought it was a very beautiful village.

First, we did a famous activity in Hasami called "ikomi" where we beautifully painted a famous Japanese ornament known as "maneki neko" (beckoning cat) by ourselves. It took patience to do this. It was a very fun experience to paint and color the picture.

After that, we made beautiful containers to hold aroma candles. This was a little difficult, and we had to think carefully and make sure we did it without making any mistakes. There were also games prepared for us to enjoy. Next, we tried making soba noodles, a dish that is popular in the summer in Japan. This was my first time making soba noodles. It was a little difficult, but thanks to the teacher's guidance, I was able to make it. The soba noodles we made ourselves were delicious when eaten with tempura and soba sauce. Afterwards, we had tea.

Finally, we had a great time chatting with everyone who participated in this program in Hasami Town.
