Hasami Town Handicraft Experience Tour
Hasami Town Handicraft Experience Tour
Hasami Town has a long history and is famous for its pottery. Through this trip, I was able to learn more about Japanese culture and crafts.
Hasami Town is a small town located in Nagasaki Prefecture in Kyushu, and is famous for its Hasami ware, a type of ceramics.
On the first day of the trip, we made our own soba noodles, a typical Japanese dish, for lunch. As it was our first time, there were some difficult parts, but we learned a lot and were able to make delicious soba noodles. It was a very fun and interesting experience.

After lunch, we visited a company called TAKAYAMA in Hasami town, where we learned about ceramics making. Takayama pottery is carefully painted and glazed using beautiful techniques, and we were truly moved by its delicacy and beauty.
We also had the opportunity to try painting a picture on a clay vessel ourselves. It was a very interesting and memorable day from the very first day.

On the second day, we had the opportunity to make pizza for the first time in our lives. The pizza we kneaded and baked ourselves was delicious and made for a fun lunch.
On the third day, we visited the Hasami Museum of Culture, which introduces the history and culture of Hasami Town. There we were able to see Hasami ware from each era, which was very interesting.
We learned about Hasami pottery making and had the opportunity to try our hand at pottery making ourselves. It was a very fun and valuable experience.

Hasami Town is a place where you can create memories with family and friends while enjoying handmade crafts.
As part of Japanese culture, there is also a facility where you can experience making "food samples," which are replicas of real food.
You can also learn how to make the samples used on menus and displays in Japanese restaurants.

Hasami Town is not only a place where you can learn handicrafts and crafts,
but it's also a place where you can experience nature firsthand.
