Hasami Study Tour (2 days)
First Day of the Hasami Learning Trip
Hasami is a place that brings to mind a very familiar image. This was my second time participating in the Hasami Learning Trip, a year after my last one. While the content itself was not significantly different from my last trip, this time I gained a deeper understanding of Hasami culture, ceramics-making, and the region's architectural style.

That's right. Even though this is my second time participating, I'm still not very good at making soba noodles (laughs).
But compared to last time, I feel like I've gotten a bit more used to it this time.
At the very least, the dough looks more authentic than last time.

This time, we were also given a tour of the pottery firing equipment at the factory (it was really hot when we opened the door!).

Visiting Hasami again this time felt more like a new beginning than just a "revisit." I realized once again that no matter how many places I visit, what truly stays in my heart are the "details" where I can sense the warmth and stories of the people.
Through this study tour, I was able to reaffirm my interest in traditional crafts and cultural preservation, and I hope to become more involved in this world in more ways in the future.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's program.

Hasami Study Tour Day 2
This was my second time on the Hasami Study Tour, and compared to the last one, it was a richer and smoother experience.
First of all, the pizza-making went much better than last time!
I made pizza last time, but there was room for improvement in the taste and appearance. This time, I mastered more techniques, and the result was even tastier and more beautiful. I'm very satisfied!

This time, I also bought some souvenirs for my family and friends.
I picked out a few small Hasami ware-themed souvenirs from a local pottery shop. I hope to be able to share these special memories with my family and friends, not just for myself, but as gifts.

Casting Experience
As with the previous tour, I once again participated in part of the production process, experiencing the charm of traditional craftsmanship while deepening my understanding of Hasami ware culture and craftsmanship.
Overall, this Hasami Study Tour was much more meaningful than the previous one. Not only did I hone my practical skills, but I also gained a deeper understanding of the local culture. (Next time, I'd like to visit Hasami's Oni no Tanada (Demon's Rice Terraces). I've heard it's a beautiful place and have always wanted to visit.)
