NGUYEN NGOC ANH

A one-day experience in Hasami

One-day experience in Hasami①

Part 1: Soba noodle making experience

First, the store manager explained to us about the history of pottery, and we all listened attentively.

After that, we went sightseeing. There were shops.

Souvenirs, coffee shop, really worth the experience

Next, we started the soba-making experience under the guidance of the manager. There are three steps to making a bowl of noodles. First, we prepared the ingredients and tools, and then received enthusiastic guidance from the manager. Everyone listened attentively and showed great interest. Then, we started with the detailed work of mixing and kneading the dough. It may seem simple, but it is actually very complicated.

Step two is rolling the dough into noodles, which requires a bit of skill and patience.

Even with a lot of skill, just a little carelessness can ruin the whole process. In my opinion this is the hardest step but I am very excited. The next step is the creation process.

We will make soft soba noodles using the ingredients we all prepared.

Finally, come and cook the noodles with us and see the results after the learning period.

It took practice, hard work and careful attention from everyone.

Maybe not to my taste, maybe too much, but everyone got the best results.

After today's experience, I felt very happy. I felt a mixture of emotions, including nervousness and excitement as it was my first time to cook traditional Japanese food. I also felt the mutual love, solidarity and spirit of connection among everyone here, which made for a fun experience and unforgettable memories.

Part 2: Visiting a pottery factory - A journey to art

After completing our noodle making experience, we continued our journey to the pottery studio.

This is a new factory with many modern facilities. The staff were very welcoming and the manager of the factory told us about the history of the products and the process to get to the finished product.

We visited the office and they had modern machinery installed to support several areas.

However, the manufacturing process also requires the hands of skilled craftsmen.

And it is a work that can only be created by talented and meticulous ceramicists here.

Decorating not only requires great craftsmanship, but also concentration and patience.

Perseverance and passion for our work. We not only understand the production process,

Not only do we understand production, but also the cultural and artistic value that each product brings.

Afterwards we went to see the old workshop.

Finally, what you are most looking forward to is probably to paint your favorite picture on the ceramic board provided. Isn't it really interesting? After listening to the explanation, everyone is eager to paint their most beautiful picture.

I've been trying it out for a while and this is the result!!!

That day was a wonderful experience for me. I was able to learn more about the process of making beautiful pottery, a traditional Japanese craft. Through this experience, I not only learned a lot and got to know many unique cultural characteristics in depth, but also had an interesting experience. Thank you to everyone.
